omni music returns with a brand new vinyl release, featuring 4 more choice cuts of deep music. the ep starts out with bad twin, whose members will be well known to any omni fans and any oldskool heads. they launch the ep with a classic summer-sounding breakbeat trip down memory lane with beautiful rhodes, delicious harmonics and crisp breakbeats. continuing the ep we feature the amazing talents of the drumkilla with an new edit of his omni classic event horizon a string-laden epic amen voyage to the stars. side b starts with the atmospheric kings pariah teaming up with label owner eschaton to produce a stripped down and hypnotic head-nodder swimming with celestial pads and space-age bliss. finishing the ep we have the always magnificent rainforest who also teams up with eschaton to continue the journey into deep space with an at times frenetic, but always intelligent, collage of amen rhythms, pounding basslines and otherworldly atmospherics.

changing tides ep is the fourth release of our kommuna tapes imprint. the a sides features two breaky, electro-infused tracks from undersound affiliate chris geschwindner, while the flipside goes back to the roots: adam collins, half of legendary tech-house golden era duo omni am, brings us impeccable groove, and early 00s deep house icon seafoam allows us to trip up through the early evening or morning hours.

hola, amigos! our next 12- comes from mexico, delivered to you by the one and only rodrigo alvarez aka rainforest, known already for his output released through monochrome recordings, omni music, cadence recordings, skutta records, or 45seven. so once you’re familiar with the said list of his affiliations, you might imagine what to expect. the most appropriate term for a common denominator to describe the content of this ep would be, let’s say, jungle refurbished. feel more than welcome to explore rainforest’s world of beautifully-crafted complex drum patterns, low-frequency bass lines, and rich palettes of background samplework. we’re positive that your early-morning cup of coffee can be well substituted with the powerful, fierce-percussioned squad nights. the pensive, deep-end blu diesel euphoria will help you digest your daily concerns, and the exotic, desert-inspired sound tribe will give you a strong energy boost. given a bowl of so varied ingredients, you can be sure that you get a really wholesome treat, especially if you’re after something more organic. in terms of sound, that is.

giant records 10th release is from new york born adam collins and limited to 150 hand stamped and numbered copies. adam is widely known for his work as one half of production duo omni am, along with marky star and counts derrick carter and evil eddie richards and a whole host of others, amongst their fans. adam’s release for giant is titled - day2day and has all the trademark’s of adam’s wonky, left of field, slightly off kilter grooves - day2day builds and snakes itself into a bottom bass heavy house jam - chicago style keys mould the snare and hats into an infectious work out - with an alien like hook that keeps it all slightly wobbly. the next cut is from the super talented carl finlow under carl’s random factor guise, a beauty in its own right ! super tight drums and a punchy random factor bassline take’s this mix on a journey through many shades of electronica - as the track swells nicely with warm atmospheric pads and sprinkles of emotive keys, with an electro style hook that keep’s it all swinging in carl’s trademark sound. the next mix is from la based producer mieka du franx. mieka’s mix strips the original down to the bare essentials and gives it a tuff minimal feel. the last mix is from echo of glory, which see’s echo take the track on a acid tinged work out - adding dubbed out vocals and super subbed out bass.

paul woolford has been seriously spreading his wings of late, becoming omni-present by landing his tracks with ease on labels like xl recordings, running back, houndstooth, hotflush and aus music. not wanting to be shackled by genres, paul comfortably serves up a wide variety of curveballs, from the technoid charge of his 4/4 persuasions to the exhilarating warped hardcore & jungle breaks of his much loved special request project. and so it’s with welcome arms that edible usher him to our release schedule, give him the comfy sofa and let him rip it up with two havoc-inducing cuts that are already a staple in label boss eats everything’s dj sets. title track ‘chaos’ finds paul in a particularly warped mode, bleepy synth pulses oscillate wildly over a granite hard beat as a single sub-bass tone drives the brain-scrambling flurry of modular tones into overdrive. a hydrochloric synth riff settles the bed, but only until the next haul of chaotic blips come firing out of the speakers - highly effective, and possibly deranged warehouse tackle. a future classic. flip side, and woolford shows off some decidedly more soulful chops on ‘meditate . a vocal hook plays against a dubwise bass line and ascending 909 rides, as a seductive and transcendental string arpeggio creeps to the fore and demands a breakdown of its own, serving up a serious bucket load of emotion. not a dry eye in the house.

emerald city is the first release of verdant recordings, a new label to present carefully curated deep music across the electronic spectrum. on this ep are 3 highly respected producers from the uk leigh dickson, john shima and plant43 (emile facey) and a 4th debut track from a disciple of the halcyon days of emotive music mihail petrovski. musically this ep is all about deep techno, the exquisite sounds and characteristic style of each producer is unmistakeable. emerald city was first released as limited edition of lathe cuts but interest in the project completely overwhelmed its availability. this 2nd pressed edition should keep the deep-heads satisfied and will also include the beautiful artwork from sophie o leary presented in the 1st edition.
